“Afterburn” begins a new XIMERMJ era built around Palm Springs modernism after the shine wears off — empty pools, desert heat, mid-century architecture, damaged color and digital decay.
The polished desert fantasy is dismantled. Familiar architecture is inverted and distorted, turning Palm Springs into something scorched, artificial and slightly unreal.
The music follows the same idea: tense experimental electronic production, warped textures and a darker visual language leading into XIMERMJ's third EP.
